UCLA has its first verbal commitment in the 2024 hoops class.

Corona (Calif.) Centennial guard Eric Freeny has given his pledge to the Bruins. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard shared the news on Saturday, picking the Bruins over offers from Cal, Colorado State, Nevada, UNLV, and UC Irvine, among others.

Freeny took an official to Westwood on June 20.

He’s a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He doesn’t yet have a rating in the industry-generated 247 Composite. The 247 national rankings have him as the No. 108 recruit in the class and the No. 11 prospect from the state of California.
