UCLA earns commitment from 2023 JUCO defensive back
UCLA scored a late addition to its 2023 class on Saturday.
Aptos (Calif.) Cabrillo College transfer defensive back Zeke Thomas announced on Twitter he has committed to the Bruins. Thomas will join the program this summer, according to Bruin Report Online.

Thomas spent three seasons with the Seahawks at the community college level. He’ll have two to play for UCLA. It’s unclear if he held any other Division I offers, but he visited the Bruins in January and left with a scholarship offer in hand.
As a freshman, Thomas totaled 45 tackles, 13 pass breakups, and four interceptions. Last fall, he produced 48 tackles, nine pass breakups, 2.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. For his efforts, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety made the Region II All-California First Team and the All-Coast Conference team.
This offseason, the Bruins need to replace both of last year’s super-senior starters at safety — Stephan Blaylock and Mo Osling III. Thomas will look to find a role right away.
