Stanford vs. UCLA: Pac-12 reveals kick time, TV info for Week 8 clash
Stanford welcomes No. 18 UCLA to The Farm in Week 8.
The Pac-12 announced on Monday that game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The Oct. 21 meeting between the Bruins and the Cardinal will be the 95th all-time meeting between the two programs, and it’ll be the last as partners in the Pac-12 conference.
Stanford (1-4, 0-3 Pac-12) comes off a bye in Week 6 and heads to Colorado on Friday for a night game against Deion Sanders.
That gives the Cardinal an extra day of prep work for the Bruins, who are rolling off a 25-17 win over what was a top-15 Washington State squad at the time. UCLA jumped back into the poll on the strength of its victory, which featured a dominant defensive display that completely shut down Cameron Ward and the Cougar offense.
Stanford has its work cut out for it against the UCLA defensive front. The Cardinal are averaging just 19.2 points a game this season (119th nationally) and only 5.1 yards per play (113th). The pass game has been a struggle, partly because the Cardinal has struggled to protect the quarterback.
Stanford has given up 18 sacks in five games. UCLA has the same number on the defensive side.
