Former UCLA DB Nate Meadors is headed back to the NFL.

Meadors has signed with the Cleveland Browns. He was a standout performer for the XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks this past spring.

In 9 games with the Battlehawks, Meadors led the defensive backs with 38 total tackles, including his game-high of 11 in Week 7 at Houston, which was the most in a single game by any Battlehawks player all season. The Battlehawks will retain Meadors’ rights should he return to the XFL.

Meadors played at UCLA from 2015-to-2018. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

The Vikings released Meadors during the 2020 season. He landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, spending time on the practice squad and active roster.

The Browns previously signed Meadors to their practice squad on Nov. 9, 2021. He remained with the club until his Aug. 3, 2022 release. Meadors has also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

To date, 167 invitations have been sent to XFL players for camps or to hold individual workouts with NFL teams since the conclusion of the XFL regular season.
