ESPN's College GameDay crew picks the winner of UCLA-Utah
UCLA pulled off a top-25 upset at the Rose Bowl last week when it beat then-No. 15 Washington 40-32 on a Friday night. The Bruins are gunning for two in as many weeks Saturday when they welcome No. 11 Utah to Pasadena.
The majority of ESPN’s College GameDay crew thinks they’ll do exactly that. Here are the picks:
- Desmond Howard: UCLA
- Pat McAfee: Utah
- Rob Riggle (guest picker): UCLA
- Kirk Herbstreit: UCLA
Lee Corso missed today’s show as he continues to recover from an illness. He’s expected to return next weekend.
UCLA was also Howard’s Super Dog of the week. He all but guaranteed a Bruin win. We’ll let you decide if that’s a good thing for the Bruins or not. David Pollack did the same.
Utah is 4-1 with four straight wins of at least 20 points. The Utes beat up on Oregon State last weekend, winning 42-16 in a game where they turned the Beavers over four times.
UCLA is 5-0 for the first time since 2013, and looking to get to 6-0 for the first time since 2005.
Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PT on FOX. Utah is favored by a field goal in the game.
