Anthony Barr, former UCLA LB, reportedly re-signing with familiar NFL team
Anthony Barr is reportedly heading back to a franchise that he knows very well.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Barr is re-signing with the Minnesota Vikings, where he spent all of his seasons in the NFL except for 2022. Barr played for the Dallas Cowboys last season.
The decision came after an injury to Jordan Hicks. Hicks suffered a shin injury and was taken to the hospital after Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Saints.
With LB Jordan Hicks hurt, the Vikings are planning to re-sign four-time Pro-Bowl LB Anthony Barr, per league sources.
Barr spent eight seasons in Minnesota after becoming the Vikings first-round pick in 2014.

Minnesota took Barr in the 1st round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of UCLA. He accounted for 495 total tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks during his time in Minnesota.
There will be a different quarterback taking snaps under center compared to when Barr was last with the Vikings. Kirk Cousins is done for the year with an Achilles injury and Josh Dobbs has stepped in.
Dobbs is now 2-0 as starter with Minnesota at 6-4 after 5 straight wins.
Minnesota plays the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football for its next game.
Kickoff will be at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
