Take out your best cardinal red sharpie and go circle Nov. 20 on the calendar.

On that date, Stanford women’s basketball will welcome South Carolina to Maples Pavilion for a massive non-conference collision between the Pac-12 and SEC powers. It’ll pit the sport’s last two national champions against each other. The Stanford program announced the scheduling news on Tuesday.

Stanford went 32-4 this past season, sprinting through Pac-12 play to claim both the regular-season and conference tournament titles. The Cardinal then dispatched Montana State, Kansas, Maryland, and Texas in the NCAA Tournament to book a trip to the Final Four. It was there, however, that Stanford’s season came to an end. UConn handed the Cardinal its first loss in 24 games—a 63-58 game that sent the Huskies to the national title to face South Carolina.

The Gamecocks won by 15 to claim the championship.

This will be the ninth meeting all-time between the two programs. Stanford owns a 6-2 record in the series. However, it’ll look to avenge a Dec. 21 loss to the Gamecocks in Columbia last year. South Carolina won 65-61 that day, but it would be Stanford’s last loss until the Final Four. Both teams enter into the new year expected to once again contend for the crown.
