Stanford lands commitment from 2024 safety out of Louisiana
Stanford has landed a commitment from Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel safety Darrius Davis.
A 6-foot, 190-pound safety in the 2024 class, Davis held offers from Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, and Marshall, among others. Stanford officially extended an offer back in March and worked to close hard on Davis. He was in town over the weekend for a visit and seems to have loved what he saw.

Davis doesn’t yet have a ranking in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s a multi-sport athlete for Archbishop Rummel, also competing on the basketball team. His Hudl highlight tape credits him with 178 tackles as a junior, as well as six tackles for loss, two interceptions, and two pass breakups.
Stanford is up to 14 known commitments know in its 2024 class. It’s a group that ranks inside the top 25 nationally and has seen 10 of its pledges since the start of June. You can see Davis’ highlight tape below, via Hudl:
