Stanford edges out Oregon, Ole Miss for Class of 2024 RB out of Mississippi

After securing a commitment from 4-star quarterback Elijah Brown Sunday, the Cardinal added another commitment by way of fringe 3/4-star RB Chris Davis out of Mississippi. No, not that Chris Davis.
Davis was originally committed to Ole Miss before backing out 6 days ago following an official visit to Stanford. He chose the Cardinal over offers from Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, among others.

Davis stands at 5-9, 175 pounds and currently attends Picayune Memorial HS in Picayune, Mississippi. He’s Stanford’s 21st commit of the 2024 cycle. The Cardinal are currently ranked as the No. 9 class in the 2024 cycle.
Davis himself is considered to be the No. 476 player in the country, as well as the No. 39 RB and No. 15 player out of the state of Mississippi.
