Stanford is working on putting together the 2024 recruiting class under head coach Troy Taylor. On Tuesday, the Cardinal landed another player via an in-state prospect.

The player is Connor Bachhuber, a 6-foot-5 and 245-pound lineman for the cycle. Prior to his commitment, Bachhuber generated offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Utah, Washington, UNLV and Air Force among others.

“… I want to thank Coach Ortiz and all of my coaches who have helped me along the way,” Bachhuber wrote in his commitment. “Without their coaching and without their push to make me better I would never be the football player that I am today. Finally, I would like to thank my friends and especially teammates, for always being by my side when I need them and pushing me to be my best. I love all of you. Fear the tree!”

Bachhuber is listed as a defensive lineman via his 247 Sports page but is rated as OT by the composite rankings, so he could foreseeably lineup on either side of the line of scrimmage for Stanford. He is the 4th commitment for the Cardinal and the second in-state player to pledge to the program in the 2024 recruiting cycle to this point.
