Scott Van Pelt gives pick against the spread in Washington-Oregon State game
Scott Van Pelt has revealed his pick for the Washington-Oregon State game on Saturday.
The veteran ESPN analyst gives his picks against the spread each week in the “Winners” segment of his show. For Week 12, Van Pelt included the Pac-12 matchup between Washington and Oregon State.
Van Pelt is taking the Beavers at home to cover a 2.5 spread. The Beavers are favored over the undefeated Huskies, which may give bettors pause. However, Van Pelt likes the home team giving points in conference games.
“What have we here? A favorite, you say? I do say,” declared Van Pelt. “Oregon State giving points to the No. 5 team in the land. I’ve liked the Beavs all year and it all leads to this spot in Corvallis at night. Which, oddly enough, would benefit their most hated rival in Eugene. I like the home team here.”
The Huskies and Beavers have a long history. The Huskies won the matchup in 2022, and have won 68 overall compared to 35 wins for the Huskies.
Washington and Oregon State are set to kick off from Corvallis at 4:30 p.m. Pacific.
