Paul Finebaum leaves Pac-12 out of updated College Football Playoff top 4
Paul Finebaum shared his updated College Football Playoff top 4 on Wednesday morning.
Finebaum appeared on an episode of ‘Get Up’ on ESPN, where he discussed his new top 4. He included Georgia, Ohio State, Florida State and Texas.
No Pac-12 program made the cut. Heather Dinich, who covers the CFP for ESPN and was also on ‘Get Up’ with Finebaum, did include Washington in her top-4.
The Pac-12 is in the midst of a sensational season. The league has 6 ranked teams, including 3 who are currently in the top 10 of the AP Top 25. Washington, Oregon, USC and Washington State all enter Week 6 with an undefeated record.
All 4 of those remaining undefeated programs figure to be involved in the CFP discussion until at least late in the regular season. Utah could also join the conversation if Cam Rising returns and helps improve the Utes’ offense in the coming weeks.
Washington and Oregon are slated to play in a top-10 matchup that should headline college football’s Week 7 slate. USC will face the Huskies and Ducks in back-to-back weeks during the month of November.
