Pac-12 quarterbacks are entering the 2023 season with high expectations.

3 quarterbacks made Pro Football Focus’ list of the top 5 returners in all of college football for next season. USC’s Caleb Williams, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. and Oregon’s Bo Nix all made the cut, with Williams taking the top spot.

Here’s the full top 10, via PFF’s Max Chadwick:

Williams is the clear No. 1 returner after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2022. He led USC to an 11-3 record, which was the program’s best mark since 2017. The Trojans are expected to contend for a College Football Playoff berth again next season.

Penix was one of the biggest surprises of the 2022 campaign as he led Washington to an 11-2 record. Washington has now reached double-digit wins in 4 of the last 7 seasons.

Nix struggled in a season-opening loss to Georgia, but ultimately led Oregon to a 10-3 record. He threw for a career-high 3,593 yards in 2022.
