Both USC and Utah sold out their ticket allotments for the Pac-12 Championship Game. When the two teams take the field against each other on Friday inside Allegiant Stadium, they’ll do so in front of a record crowd.

Ahead of the title fight, the Pac-12 announced a sellout of the game with a new record-setting attendance expected after previously setting the event’s neutral-site record in 2021 with 56,511 total. More than 61,000 are expected to be on hand to watch the fourth-ranked Trojans (11-1, 8-1 Pac-12) take on the 11th-ranked Utes (9-3, 7-2 Pac-12).

Utah will be making its fourth appearance in the title game in the last five years. The Utes won last year’s title by beating Oregon 38-10. USC played in the 2020 Championship Game but fell to the Ducks 31-24. USC is seeking its first Pac-12 title since 2017.

The game will mark the eighth rematch in the Pac-12 Championship Game. Utah beat USC 43-42 on Oct. 15 in one of the best games of the season. Quarterback Cameron Rising converted a fourth-and-goal from the USC 1-yard-line for a touchdown and then ran in a two-point conversion to give Utah a one-point lead with less than a minute remaining. USC was unable to get into field goal range before time expired.

In the previous seven Pac-12 title rematches, the team that won the regular-season meeting won six times. The only side to avenge an in-season loss was Oregon in 2014, which lost to Arizona by a touchdown in the regular season and then beat the Wildcats 51-13 to claim the title.

Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. PT on FOX.
