Joel Klatt isn’t shy about his projections for quarterback play in the Pac-12 for the 2023 season. In fact, he believes the conference will produce the best QB play in the country next season.

Klatt has a number of reasons driving his belief in Pac-12 QBs. Heisman winner Caleb Williams leads a number of experienced players back for another season in the conference with Oregon State also adding former 5-star prospect DJ Uiagalelei.

“The Pac-12’s going to be the best QB conference in college football. Look at the guys they’ve got coming back,” said Klatt. “I mean, Caleb Williams, for one. We know how all of us feel about Caleb Williams. Michael Penix at Washington, a guy that probably should have gotten consideration to go to New York as a Heisman finalist. Bo Nix at Oregon, he’s back, highly productive… Cam Rising back at Utah.

“You go down the list, thinking about the best teams in this conference and you go okay, there’s going to be some players.”

The Pac-12 will have some experienced QB play in 2023 with Williams looking to make a run at a second straight Heisman. The conference will also hope that the high level of QB play can help the Pac-12 crack the College Football Playoff this time around.
