Jaylen McClain is starting to narrow things down in his recruitment. The blue-chip defensive back out of New Jersey has received a scholarship offer from 31 schools. With coaching staffs shifting their recruiting focus to the Class of 2024, McClain decided to name his top 10.

McClain is considering playing on the West Coast, naming 2 teams with current Pac-12 affiliations in his top 10. Stanford is in the mix along with USC, which will be joining the Big Ten in 2024. McClain is also interested in Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers and Tennessee.

From West Orange, New Jersey, McClain is listed at 6-feet, 185 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, McClain is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 New Jersey product, No. 21 safety and No. 242 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.
