K’Vion Thunderbird will likely be a fan favorite on name alone wherever he chooses to play college football. The Chicago native could be heading west.

Thunderbird, out of Kenwood Academy, will make his commitment on Thursday. He’s down to a final 5 of Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, Purdue and Tennessee.

Thunderbird is listed at 6-1, 215 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, he’s rated 3-stars, the No. 22 Illinois product, No. 84 linebacker and No. 1,060 prospect overall nationally in the 2023 recruiting class. Thunderbird has reportedly picked up scholarship offers from 20 programs during his recruitment.

On Twitter, Thunderbird shares many of his scholarship offers. The Pac-12 programs are among the most recent to offer, with Colorado and Arizona State extending offers after the end of the 2022 regular season.
