ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) still has Oregon as the best team in the Pac-12.

The predictive model ranked the Ducks as the No. 6 team in the country after Week 7, a one-spot drop from its Week 6 standing.

Washington, which entered the week ranked No. 9 in FPI, dropped one spot to No. 10 after beating Oregon 36-33.

Make of that what you will.

Weird ranking quirk aside, Washington is now the favorite to win the Pac-12 and the most likely team from the Pac-12 to make it into the College Football Playoff. FPI had Oregon listed as the favorite to win the league a week ago while Washington had only a 26.3% chance to claim the conference title. Now, the Huskies have a 43.4% chance to win the league — the best of anyone.
