On Friday, Dec. 2, the Pac-12 Championship Game will feature a revenge match with incredibly high stakes.

USC’s only loss this season came at the hands of Utah in Salt Lake City on Oct. 15. The Trojans return to the league’s biggest stage next Friday hoping to avenge that loss and stake their claim to a spot in the College Football Playoff. On the other side, Utah will be looking to repeat as Pac-12 champions.

Utah will be playing in its fourth Pac-12 Championship Game in five years. The Utes would seemingly have an experience advantage — specifically with the roster — but Lincoln Riley has now taken five teams to conference title games in his first six years as a head coach.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams will also have a chance to lock up the Heisman Trophy with another strong performance. Williams completed 25 of his 42 pass attempts for 381 yards and five touchdowns when these two teams last met.

Utah’s Cameron Rising had a five-touchdown game as well, and delivered Utah the win with a 1-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-goal and then a 3-yard rush for the two-point conversion with 48 seconds left.

Kickoff at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for 5 p.m. PT on FOX.
