The 2023 College World Series continues Sunday, the last day with 8 teams in the field. The first 4 games are in the books, and now comes elimination games while those in the winners’ bracket try to get to 2-0.

Two teams will go “0-2 and ‘cue” in Omaha, and we’ll find out the first squad on Sunday. No. 7 national seed Virginia and TCU face off at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Hoos and Horned Frogs are looking to bounce back from heartbreaking 1-run losses to Florida and Oral Roberts.

The Gators and the Golden Eagles (or “The Bobs,” if you prefer Oral Roberts’ unofficial nickname) will battle in the winners’ bracket contest at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday. The winner of that game will start the CWS 2-0, like 27 of the last 32 national champions. A second victory means an extra day of rest, skipping a Tuesday elimination game and needing just 1 more win to reach the best-of-3 finals.

The 4 teams in Bracket 2 are resting up for similar games Monday. LSU and Wake Forest will meet in the winners’ bracket after their victories over Tennessee and Stanford.
