UCLA has its highest ranking in the AP Top 25 since November 2021.

The Bruins beat No. 8 Arizona 82-73 on Saturday to cap the regular season at 27-4 and 18-2 in conference play. And with Alabama losing to Texas A&M, the Bruins rose up two spots to No. 2 in the country in the latest media poll released on Monday. UCLA received three first-place votes

The Wildcats (25-6, 14-6 Pac-12) held at No. 8 in the media poll. No other Pac-12 teams landed in the ranking, though USC received five votes in the poll. The Trojans landed at No. 23 in one voter’s poll and No. 24 in another.

Postseason basketball gets underway this week with the Pac-12 Tournament set to open in Las Vegas on Wednesday. UCLA, Arizona, and USC grabbed the top three seeds in the tournament, respectively, and received firs-round byes as a result.
