Oregon State men’s basketball announced an addition to its 2023 schedule on Thursday. The news was confirmed by a press release.

Oregon State will be facing Nebraska on Nov. 18 on a neutral site. The game will take place at the Sanford Pentagon, which is the home of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

Here’s what Beavers’ head coach Wayne Tinkle had to say about the news:

We’re honored to have the opportunity to play in the tradition-rich Sanford Pentagon. Games at the Pentagon have become key single-game pre-season events over the past 10 years. Sanford is an incredible partner and the Pentagon is an unbelievable facility bred for hoops. Throw in the total support of the Sioux Falls community and this will prove to be a valuable experience for our program.

The 2023 matchup between the Beavers and Cornhuskers will be the 11th all-time meeting.

Oregon State finished the 2022 season with an 11-21 record. The Beavers’ season was ended after losing to Arizona State in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.

The Cornhuskers also lost in the first round of their conference tournament. Nebraska was bounced out of the B1G Tournament by Minnesota in the first round.

Oregon State currently leads the series 6-4. Can Nebraska inch closer to tying it up, or will the Beavers increase their lead?
