Oregon State and Washington State meet in Pullman this upcoming Saturday in a battle of the Pac-2.

It’ll be a ranked-on-ranked matchup. And Oregon State has a slight early edge in Vegas’ eyes.

The 14th-ranked Beavers are a two-point favorite over the 21st-ranked Cougars, according to Circa Sports. The over/under is set at 54.5 for the matchup.

In moving up two spots in this week’s AP Top 25, the Beavs have their highest ranking in an AP poll since 2012. Fitting given they’ve opened consecutive seasons 3-0 for the first time since 1999-2000. The Beavs have become a respected program on a national scale under coach Jonathan Smith.

And Saturday in Pullman provides a national platform to showcase that fact.

Oregon State will meet a Wazzu team that has been red-hot to open the season. Led by a drastically more efficient Cam Ward at quarterback, the Cougs are coming off a 64-point pasting of Northern Colorado in Week 3. They’ve topped 50 twice already, and have a top-25 victory over Wisconsin in Week 2.

Ward is sixth nationally in passing with 990 yards and nine scores in three games. More impressive? He has no picks and a 72% completion rate.

Kickoff between the Beavers (3-0) and Cougars (3-0) is set for 4 p.m. PT on FOX.
