Oregon State newcomer set to miss 2023-24 season with injury, per report
There was some unfortunate news to report about one of the players on the Oregon State men’s basketball team on Monday. Beaver Blitz’s Jake Hedburg reported the news.
Oregon State gained a commitment from a JUCO transfer this offseason in guard Nate Meithof. It’s reportedly likely that Meithof will miss the entire season with a torn ACL.

JUCO G Nate Meithof has torn his ACL and will likely miss the 2023-2024 season— Jake Hedberg (@HedbergJake) August 21, 2023
Meithof came to Oregon State from the College of Southern Idaho. He led his team in scoring last season with 16.5 ppg. He averaged 5.5 rebounds and made 51.5% of his shots while also leading his team in steals with 45.
Meithof actually attended high school in Oregon at McNary and left as the second-highest scorer in program history.
It’s sad that Meithof will have to wait to step on the court for Oregon State even though his career with the Beavers just began. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.
Oregon State hoops is looking to improve on what was a disappointing 11-21 season in 2022.
