Oregon State held at No. 16 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, released Sunday.

There was movement above and behind the Beavs, but spots 12-16 were unchanged in the latest poll.

The Beavers are off to a 2-0 start after smashing UC Davis at home on Saturday, 55-7. In the win, Oregon State scored a 64-yard rushing touchdown, a 65-yard touchdown on punt return, and a 22-yard passing touchdown. The Beavs created two takeaways, produced 12 tackles for loss, and held UC Davis to just 73 rushing yards at 2.8 per carry (adjusted for sacks).

Through two games, no one has touched coach Jonathan Smith’s group. Oregon State looks like a legitimate threat to make the Pac-12 title game, and quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has settled in nicely. After a 249-yard, five-touchdown debut last week, Uiagalelei produced another three touchdowns on Saturday.

Oregon State is one of eight Pac-12 schools ranked in the latest AP Top 25. The Beavers are joined in the poll by No. 5 USC, No. 8 Washington, No. 12 Utah, No. 13 Oregon, No. 18 Colorado, No. 23 Washington State, and No. 24 UCLA.
