Oregon State lands promising Florida athlete to 2024 class
Oregon State has landed a commitment from Tampa (Fla.) Gaither athlete Andrew Brinson IV.
Brinson is a 6-foot-1, 175-pounder in the 2024 class. He’s rated as a 3-star recruit and plays both ways for Gaither — as a receiver and a corner. Oregon State secondary coach Blue Adams took the lead on his recruitment and helped the Beavers to beat out UCF, Purdue, Louisville, Illinois, Wisconsin, NC State, and Georgia Tech.
He took an official visit to UCF to begin the month of June, and was on an official to Oregon State over the weekend when he gave his verbal pledge. He had a third official visit on the books for next against Purdue and it’s unclear if he’ll still take that.

Brinson ranks as the No. 93 athlete in the 2024 class, per the industry-generated 247 Composite. He also ranks as the No. 863 overall recruit in the class.
As a junior last fall, Brinson caught 54 passes for 668 yards and nine touchdowns over 11 games.
He becomes Oregon State’s sixth known commitment in the 2024 class. You can see Brinson’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
