Oregon State breaking out special alternate uniforms for Utah game
The Oregon State Beavers will be sporting a special look for a Week 5 matchup against the Utah Utes. For the first time since 2018, the Beavers will be wearing all-orange uniforms with orange helmets. The team has typically worn the all-black uniform combination at home.
The team has worn orange jerseys and orange pants multiple times, but always with black helmets. Now, the team will go completely orange for the first time since a home tilt with the USC Trojans in head coach Jonathan Smith’s first season. The Beavers lost that game by a score of 38-21.
The 2023 Beavers have gotten off to an impressive 3-1 start and are currently ranked No. 19. The 10th-ranked Utes will present a tough test for a Beavers team that is coming off a loss at the hands of Washington State.
Interestingly, the Beavers and Utes are tied at 12 wins a piece in the all-time series. The teams have also tied once, all the way back in 1948. The two teams are set to kick things off on Friday at 6 p.m. PT from Corvallis.
