Oregon State has picked up a new commitment for its 2024 recruiting class. Jonathan Smith’s staff beat out a Pac-12 rival and an in-state program to land a lineman from Hawaii.

Rustin Young is the Beavers’ newest pledge. He committed to Oregon State over Utah and Hawaii in a Saturday ceremony with family, shared on his Twitter account.

A standout of the prominent St. Louis High School in Honolulu, Young’s listed measurements are 6-5 and 275 pounds. He is rated 3-stars, the No. 6 Hawaii recruit and No. 89 interior offensive lineman in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports.

With Young on board, Oregon State now has 11 pledges in its 2024 class. Young shared photos of his official visit to OSU, offering fans an early look sporting the orange and black.
