Omar Speights, former Oregon State standout LB, reportedly transfers to SEC program
Omar Speights has a new home.
After 4 seasons at Oregon State, Speights will finish his career in the SEC. According to multiple reports, Speights has signed with LSU.

Speights played in 45 games over 4 seasons with the Beavers. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for the 2020 season allows him to be a fifth-year “super senior” in 2023. Speights has been consistently productive throughout his college football career.
In 2019, as a freshman, Speights played in 12 games, recording 73 tackles (7.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks), along with 3 passes defended (1 interception). He followed that up with 63 total tackles (4.5 TFLs) in 7 appearances over the abbreviated 2020 season.
Speights posted his career-high in total tackles (89) in 2021 when he had 5 TFLs (0.5 sacks) to go with 2 interceptions. This past season, Speights played in all 13 games for OSU, recording 83 tackles (8 TFLs).
