Jack Colletto took home the Hornung Award for Oregon State after the 2022 season concluded. The award annually goes to the most versatile player in college football.

Colletto definitely embodied what it means to be versatile this past season. He spent time on both offense and defense for the Beavers. Colletto was honored as the Hornung Award winner on Tuesday in Louisville and stated that it was a personal goal of his to take home the hardware.

“I think it just shows really how great the city of Louisville is and how opening and welcoming they are,” said Colletto.

Colletto scored six rushing touchdowns on offense and recorded 27 total tackles with one fumble recovery on defense. Colletto has also played QB and special teams for Oregon State in the past.

Colletto was also named All-Pac-12 First Team, Phil Steele All-America First Team, and AP All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2022.

Oregon State ended the 2022 season with a 30-3 win over Florida in the Las Vegas Bowl. The win over the Gators moved the Beavers record to 10-3 on the year.

Colletto became the first Pac-12 player to the win Hornung Award since Stanford’s Christian McCaffery in 2015. Last year’s winner was Houston’s Marcus Jones.
