On Saturday, Oregon held its first scrimmage of fall camp.

After, head coach Dan Lanning met with members of the media to recap the affair. All in all, he liked the competitiveness his team brought to the table and the way both sides fought back from a bit of adversity. Lanning was asked about any injury concerns during the scrimmage—it was closed—and quipped that there was nothing he wanted to publicly share. He touched on the quarterbacks’ performance in the scrimmage, training tackling every day even when there are only certain times you can be live, evaluating the tape, and more.

“There were definitely some explosive plays today,” Lanning said. “I thought our offense did a good job with our tempo and creating some issues. We’ve got to get better at (managing) that on the defensive side of the ball, but it was good to see that today.”
