USC fan offers hilarious prediction for upcoming game against Oregon
USC fans are already preparing themselves for the worst in Eugene in Week 11.
Following a 52-42 loss to Washington at home on Saturday, USC fans were understandably frustrated. But there’s no rest for the weary with a trip to Autzen Stadium on the docket for next Saturday. Several fans took to USC message boards to give their early predictions for the game against Oregon. One said Duck tailback Bucky Irving could break the FBS single-game rushing record (427 yards).
Another USC fan took it a step further.
“Bucky Irving rushing for 800 yards,” they wrote.
“Let’s check the USC message boards to see what they think about playing at autzen! :)”

Irving has 821 yards and nine touchdowns on the season. He’s averaging 6.9 yards a carry. The contact balance is remarkable. It’s already difficult for competent tacklers to bring him down and now USC, which has been credited with 112 missed tackles in 10 games, has to try and slow him down. (For reference: Oregon has 62.)
And Irving has already forced 44 missed tackles on the year. He averages 4 yards per carry after first contact.
The Trojans gave up 256 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries to UW running back Dillon Johnson in Saturday’s loss. It was Johnson’s second career 100-yard rushing performance and completely shattered his previous career-high in every category.
Johnson had 100 yards on 20 carries against the Ducks on Oct. 14. He’d never scored more than four rushing touchdowns total in any of his previous three seasons.
On the season now, USC has given up 1,865 rushing yards in 10 games. The Trojans rank 114th in defensive efficiency against the run, giving up 4.8 yards a carry.
Oregon, by the way, leads all of college football in rushing at 6.3 yards a carry.
