Scott Van Pelt makes pick in Colorado-Oregon game
Scott Van Pelt has made his picks against the spread for a loaded Week 4 slate.
Van Pelt is rolling with the Oregon Ducks to cover as 21-point favorites over the Buffaloes. The veteran anchor made the pick on his weekly “Winners” segment for ESPN.
“They are 21-point dogs this week?” Van Pelt said. “Twenty-one?! The Buffs, who are good, getting that many feels real suspicious.”
The Buffaloes were notably three-touchdown underdogs against the TCU Horned Frogs in Week 1 and ended up winning the game outright. However, Van Pelt doesn’t see that happening again, and thinks this line is a trap.
“We’re going to lay ’em with the Ducks in Eugene. If Colorado wins this game, then Vegas has done one of the worst jobs handicapping them through 4 games than I have ever seen,” explained Van Pelt.
The Buffaloes are 3-0 after upsetting the Horned Frogs in Week 1, handling the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2, and securing an OT victory over the Colorado State Rams in Week 3. The Ducks are also 3-0 with wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, and Hawaii.
The Pac-12 foes will kick off at 12:30 Pacific from Eugene, OR.
