Scoot Henderson reveals Oregon football 'dreams'; draws reaction from Dan Lanning
Scoot Henderson is headed to the state of Oregon as the No. 3 overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2023 NBA Draft. Henderson recently revealed he might have landed in the state sooner if he had followed his dreams.
Henderson met with the media following a summer league practice. Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan shared Saturday that Henderson revealed he dreamed of playing football at Oregon as a kid.

Henderson’s comment got the attention of Ducks head coach Dan Lanning.

At 6-2, 195 pounds on the Blazers roster, Henderson had the size to play a variety of positions on the gridiron. He clearly, though, made the right decision playing high school basketball in Marietta, Georgia before joining the NBA G League’s Ignite.
