A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, co-captains for the game, will pick their squads during ESPN’s WNBA All-Star Team Selection Special on July 2 (noon p.m. PT). They will choose their teams from the remaining pool of eight starters, including Ionescu.
The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft is enjoying the best season of her young career, with nightly averages of 16.7 points (10th, WNBA), 6.4 boards (leading all WNBA guards), and 6.1 assists, (fourth, WNBA).
