Dante Moore announced live on SportsCenter on Friday that he has committed to Oregon. The 5-star quarterback chose the Ducks over a group that included Texas A&M, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Per the 247 Composite, he rates as the 12th-best prospect in the 2023 class, the fourth-best quarterback, and the top recruit from the state of Michigan. He’s also the highest-rated quarterback commit Oregon has had in the 247Sports era.

The recruiting win for coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks is massive. One recruiting analyst—247Sports’ Cooper Petagna—went so far as to say Moore will have the Ducks back in the College Football Playoff by the time his career is done.

The Detroit native has excelled this summer out on the camp circuit. He participated in the Elite 11 Finals recently and drew some rave reviews for his on-field performance. Moore has also been praised as a tireless worker and a winner.
