Oregon quarterback Bo Nix was named one of the 11 finalists for the Manning Award on Friday.

The honor is presented annually to the best quarterback in college football and is the only quarterback award that takes factors a player’s postseason performance into the equation.

Nix joins Georgia’s Stetson Bennett, TCU’s Max Duggan, Wake Forest’s Sam Hartman, Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker, North Carolina’s Drake May, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., Mississippi State’s Will Rogers Jr., USC’s Caleb Williams, Alabama’s Bryce Young, and Ohio State’s CJ Stroud as finalists for the award.

The winner will be announced in January.

Nix has performed at an elite level in his first season with Oregon. The former Auburn quarterback has enjoyed a career year in Eugene, throwing for 3,388 yards and 27 touchdowns while rushing for another 504 yards and 14 scores. His 42 total touchdowns (one receiving) rank as the third-most among all FBS players, and his 71.5% completion rate is the second-best in the country.

The Ducks, 9-3 on the year, are awaiting their bowl fate.
