Oregon wideout announces plans to enter the transfer portal
Oregon wideout Dont’e Thornton announced on social media Monday evening he intends to enter the transfer portal and leave Eugene after two seasons with the Ducks.
“I’ll always be a Duck at heart but it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter of my football career and make sure that I make the right decision for myself,” Thornton wrote.

The 6-foot-5, 199-pound wideout played in 11 games this season for the Ducks (missing only the Arizona game). He totaled 17 receptions on 24 targets for 366 yards and a touchdown.
Played in all 14 games for the Ducks as a true freshman last season. He caught nine passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, headlined by a four-reception, 90-yard outing in the Alamo Bowl.
Thornton joined the Ducks as a consensus 4-star recruit out of the 2021 class. He ranked as the 53rd-best player in the industry-generated 247 Composite.
