No. 10 Oregon is breaking out some special footwear for Saturday’s showdown with No. 19 Colorado.

In a Wednesday social media post, Oregon unveiled its uniform combo for Saturday. The Ducks will sport green jerseys with black helmets, pants, socks, and cleats.

The kicks are the star of the uni reveal. Oregon will wear Vapor Edge KF Dunks that are heat-activated and change color.

Dan Lanning shared his thoughts on the cleats after Wednesday’s practice.

“They look cool. They look really cool,” Lanning said. “I think that’s a great representation of what it’s like to be at Oregon and be connected with a place like Nike, and how much they do for us and how they make an impact on our program, because those are pretty neat.

“And what I love about it is, when these guys are wearing it at practice, I can tell if they’re practicing hard. If their cleats aren’t turning colors, then we got problems.”

Adding to the anticipation for UO’s first game of the season against a ranked opponent, Oregon is calling for a stripe-out at Autzen Stadium. The atmosphere is expected to be electric for kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT. Those who aren’t traveling to Eugene can watch on ABC.
