Ahead of what should have been Spencer Webb’s final game in Autzen Stadium, the Ducks are remembering their late teammate with a special uniform combo for the rivalry showdown with No. 16 Oregon State.

On Tuesday, Oregon unveiled its uniform combo for Friday’s game against the Beavers. The Ducks will sport green helmets, green jerseys and white pants. Webb’s name, No. 4 and a special logo are featured in the modeled uniform.

Webb joined the Oregon football team in 2018, taking a redshirt his first season on campus. Ahead of his fifth season, he was hurt in a tragic accident. Webb died on July 13, 2022, after falling on rock slides near Triangle Lake and hitting his head. He was 22.

The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver would have allowed Webb to play a 6th season in 2023. Earlier this year, Webb’s son, Spider, was born.

In addition to all the emotion, there is a lot on the line for Oregon in Friday’s rivalry clash. At No. 6, the Ducks are the highest-ranked 1-loss team in the College Football Playoff rankings. Oregon would secure a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game rematch with Washington if it can handle Oregon State.

The Civil War is set for 5:30 p.m. PT on Friday, airing on FOX.
