Oregon is gearing up for a potentially massive recruiting weekend.

The Ducks have a pair of high-priority targets who will be announcing their college commitments on Saturday: 4-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims and 4-star quarterback Michael Van Buren.

Things can change, but Oregon is currently the leader for both prospects according to recent 247Sports Crystal Ball projections. Oregon has received multiple Crystal Ball projections for both Sims and Van Buren, including from 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

Sims is the No. 194 overall prospect in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 23 defensive lineman and the No. 2 player from the state of Oklahoma.

He attends Durant High School in Durant, Oklahoma. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 275 pounds.

Van Buren has become Oregon’s top quarterback target in the class of 2024. A Baltimore native, Van Buren is also set to commit on Saturday.

On Thursday, Oregon offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Will Stein made a vague reference to an East coast recruit on Twitter:

Van Buren is the No. 129 overall prospect and the No. 11 quarterback in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the No. 3 player from the state of Maryland in this cycle.

Oregon currently has 11 commitments in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. However, it seems the Ducks are poised to jump well into the top 10 if things go to plan this weekend.
