Oregon will host UCLA transfer quarterback Dante Moore on a recruiting visit this week, according to a report.

That news was shared by On3’s Pete Nakos, who said Moore plans to be in Eugene on Thursday. Moore is coming off of his true freshman season and was a 5-star prospect in the class of 2023.

Moore was initially committed to Oregon out of high school, but ended up flipping to UCLA just before signing day last year.

If Moore does transfer to Oregon, he would likely be signing up for a backup role for the 2024 season. The Ducks have already landed a commitment from Oklahoma transfer Dillon Gabriel, who was one of the nation’s most productive quarterbacks during the 2023 season.

Moore is an elite talent. He was the No. 6 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

His first season of college football produced up-and-down results, however. Moore completed 53.5% of his passes for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns and 9 interceptions for the Bruins this past season.
