Oregon will host transfer defensive lineman Walter Nolen on a recruiting visit, according to a report.

That’s per 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, who notes that the Texas A&M transfer will be in Eugene this weekend.

Nolen is widely-regarded as one of the top players in the transfer portal so far this offseason. He spent 2 seasons at Texas A&M and is coming off of a very strong season in College Station. He amassed 8.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks this season.

Nolen also has elite prospect pedigree. He was the No. 2 overall player and the No. 1 defensive linemen in the country for the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Nolen was considered the top prospect in Texas A&M’s much-discussed 2022 recruiting class. The Aggies signed the No. 1-ranked class in that cycle, but several of those top prospects have since left College Station for other programs.

Oregon is looking to load up on talent as it prepares to transition to the Big Ten in 2024. The Ducks are expected to be active in the transfer portal this offseason.
