Oregon target at linebacker locks in commitment date
Oregon won a recruiting battle for a 4-star linebacker just last week. The Ducks are looking to pull another one out this week.
Los Alamitos (Calif.) High linebacker Kamar Mothudi — a priority target for the Ducks — is set to reveal his college commitment on July 11 at 4 p.m. PT on the 247Sports YouTube channel. The blue-chip defender will pick from a group of finalists that includes Oregon alongside Washington, Utah, Michigan State, and Texas.

Mothudi took an official visit to Eugene on June 23 in what was the final trip in a month of officials to four of his five finalists. He attended Utah to begin the month, then went to Michigan State and Washington. The Ducks are viewed as the favorites to land his commitment leading up to decision day.
A multi-sport athlete, Mothudi is viewed as one of the top linebackers in the 2024 class. He’s rated as a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite and ranked as the No. 217 prospect in the national player rankings. He’s the 19th-ranked linebacker in his class.
He was an absolute workhorse as a junior last fall, rushing for 1,345 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense while totaling 104 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble on defense.
