Oregon is breaking out special headgear for its first road game of the season.

The Ducks are going icy for their trip to the Lone State Star. Oregon will sport a clean combo of white jerseys and white pants against Texas Tech. Fans will be quick to notice that the chrome helmets are back.

Dan Lanning’s squad is looking to improve to 2-0 on the season. Things are sure to be different for No. 13 Oregon in Week 2, however.

The Ducks put up a record 81 points to open the 2023 campaign. The competition for the season opener, though, was FCS program Portland State. The Vikings managed just 7 points on the UO defense.

Oregon will face a Texas Tech team that is looking to bounce back after an embarrassing season-opening loss. The Red Raiders were on the wrong side of a massive upset in Week 1, losing at Wyoming 35-33 in double overtime.

Oregon is around a touchdown favorite heading into Saturday’s Pac-12/Big 12 showdown. The game is set for a 4 p.m. PT kickoff from Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock and will air on FOX.
