Wear green.

The Ducks will be decked out in it when they battle the third-ranked Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. Oregon revealed its uniform combination for Week 1 Wednesday night — green cleats, green pants, green top, green helmet. And an underrated part of the look — a yellow facemask.

The Ducks will open the Dan Lanning era against the defending national champions.

Lanning helped the Bulldogs to the 2021 College Football Playoff national championship last year as the team’s defensive coordinator. He was hired last winter by the Ducks to replace Mario Cristobal.

All Lanning has done since arriving in Eugene is crank up the excitement for his debut. With it so close, he seems ready to roll.

“I think our players have really embraced the work and the extra work needed,” he told reporters on Wednesday. “That being said, I still think there are opportunities for us to prepare and get ready and continue to improve in between now and the game. A lot of things that we can clean up. I think it’s our job as coaches to simplify the game plan as we get closer to kickoff.”

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT on Saturday inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The game will be televised on ABC.
