Oregon reportedly adds FCS opponent to future schedule
Oregon has added Eastern Washington to its 2027 schedule, according to a report.
That’s per FbSchedules.com’s Kevin Kelley, who cited an open records request which disclosed the game contract. The report says the game will be played on Sept. 4, 2027, which is slated to be Week 1 of that season.
Oregon will pay a $600,000 guarantee to Eastern Washington for agreeing to the game, according to the report.
The Ducks now have 3 reported opponents lined up for the 2027 campaign. EWU joins Baylor and Utah State on Oregon’s schedule for that year.
Oregon and Eastern Washington have met once before back in 2015. Oregon won the game 61-42 and had a difficult time stopping Eastern Washington’s passing offense. Cooper Kupp, would go on to become one of the NFL’s best receivers, went for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns in that contest.
Eastern Washington has proved to be a difficult opponent for Pac-12 teams over the past decade. The Eagles have won games against Oregon State and Washington State over the past 10 seasons.
Oregon has not yet announced the matchup.
