Oregon will lose some depth on defense, as one of its outside linebackers is reportedly headed for the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.

Anthony Jones, who flipped from Texas to Oregon, appeared in 2 games last season and later redshirted after he played against Colorado and North Carolina in the Holiday Bowl. Coming out of high school, Jones was a 6-foot-5 and 242-pound prospect who was listed as an athlete, and ranked the No. 8 player at his position in Nevada, according to the 247Sports Composite.

During spring camp, Jones practiced with the edge rushers at Oregon, a position which added multiple defensive line prospects to the fold this offseason, including Jordan Burch and Matayo Uiagalelei.

Jones is the fifth Oregon player to enter the portal this spring, after CB Jalil Tucker, LB Keith Brown, S Trejon Williams, and DT Treven Ma’ae.
