Oregon opened as a five-point favorite over UCLA for its Oct. 22 battle in Eugene.

Opening point spreads and game totals for Week 8 action through the country were released by Circa Sports on Sunday, and the 10th-ranked Ducks opened as a decent favorite over the ninth-ranked and unbeaten Bruins. ESPN’s College GameDay will be on site for the game, which will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT on either FOX or FS1.

Both Oregon and UCLA are 5-2 against the spread this season. The over (currently set at 69.5) has hit in five of UCLA’s six games and four of Oregon’s.

It’ll be the first top-10 matchup between Pac-12 teams since the 2018 Apple Cup, according to The Mercury News’ Jon Wilner. And it’ll be the biggest game of the season so far for either team. A UCLA win would give the Bruins as strong a résumé as any team in the country, while an Oregon win would could put the Ducks right back into the conversation for a College Football Playoff spot.

Other Week 8 Pac-12 lines:

  • Oregon State -22 vs. Colorado (O/U 51.5)
  • Stanford -3 vs. Arizona State (O/U 56.5)
  • Washington -8 at California (O/U 57.5)
