Oregon offensive lineman Marcus Harper II has revealed his plan for the 2024 season. The talented OL will return to Eugene for one more year.

Harper released a hype video on social media to announce the decision.

“I’m Back,” Harper captioned the video.

Harper was a key piece of an Oregon offensive line that was elite in 2023. The Oregon offensive line was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, alongside LSU, Georgia, and Washington. The Ducks’ offensive line allowed just 5 sacks all season, which was 4 fewer than the 2nd place offensive line. The unit also held its own in the ground game, as the Ducks finished with the No. 30 rushing attack in the nation.

A member of the 2020 class, Harper was rated as a 3-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite ranking. Harper was listed as the No. 45 offensive guard and the No. 12 player out of Illinois in 2020. The Chicago native was heavily recruited by Purdue and Illinois before deciding on the Ducks.

Harper likely would have been one of the top interior lineman prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. Instead, Harper will run it back in Eugene. The Ducks also added tackled Matthew Bedford from Indiana in the portal to further strengthen the line for 2024.
